Interior Castles Series (doorway), 2001

Series are works in which the artist alters pages from the autobiography of Teresa of Avila, the 16th century Spanish mystic. The interiority of the space of the book, and its text, is linked to the architecture of a Castle, referring to the Teresa’s mystical states.
